Teriyaki Turkey Lettuce Wraps
Happy Friday Everyone! And am I ready for the weekend!
Tomorrow, weather permitting, we will be floating on the Buffalo river here in Arkansas. The Young Professional ministry at my church is going and I couldn't be more excited. I've always enjoyed canoe/kayaking on the river. It's just really nice to slow down and let the river take you away. I also try to sing 'Just around the river bend' at least once every trip.
Most of the time I try to cook a healthy-ish meal for dinner but then there are other times where I'll eat a bag of microwave popcorn and that's it. But the good thing about these lettuce wraps is that it's really easy and very quick to make. And it's pretty inexpensive. We have an Aldi grocery store in our area so it's makes my bank account a lot happier when I don't have spend a ton of money to have a decent meal.
You'll need one thing(and by thing I mean 1lb package) of ground turkey meat, some romaine lettuce, and some teriyaki sauce. Cook up your turkey meat until fully browned, add your sauce, and then spoon into the lettuce. I like to use two leafs of lettuce to give it more structure when I'm eating the wrap.
Pair it with your favorite tasty beverage and dinner is served. Another good thing about this meal is that it's really easy to have for a lunch at work. Just reheat your meat and insert into your lettuce. Done!
